Whoa! I was not prepared for how much better this game is! We purchase and engage in a plethora of games with our child and our grown-up companions. Because it takes hours to lose at Monopoly, I detest the game. I purchased this for our ten-year-old kid who enjoys Fortnite. Although I was afraid to play Monopoly with him, I guess it's sort of a board gamer's rite of passage. The board has a layout similar to that of a Monopoly board, with sets of properties, a jail, and Go, but little else is identical. The homes have adorable, ridiculous names that correspond to locales in FortNite. The sole units of currency in this game are called Health Points, and they are little, green plastic coins. You are eliminated from the game as soon as your HP runs out. The game is won by the last player standing. After you get the hang of it, playing could take you thirty minutes. The amount of properties you can claim, among other factors, affects how the game is played each time. You can move a certain number of places with one number die, and you can erect walls and drop boogie bombs with another action dice.
It is passable but falls short in a few respects. When I initially started experimenting with it, I found that it had a lot of settings, which made it appear a little intimidating. However, after a few days, I discovered that the watch itself had a rather straightforward interface—even more straightforward than the Garmin Connect app—though it still needed some improvement. Although I was able to record my car's location at the trailhead on a recent trip, I haven't really delved too much into the GPS yet. Even though I didn't think I would get lost, I did periodically check the watch to make sure I was going in the right way, and it seemed to be. I'm not disappointed overall. Having said that, I acquired the watch mostly because the sleep tracker is a complete waste of money. It appears that I go to bed much sooner than I actually do, for whatever reason. For example, if I go to bed at 11, it will indicate that I slept from 9 to 930. Additionally, the "move alert" made no sense, so I had to turn it off. I would be outside doing yard maintenance, washing my truck, and moving.
The Instinct was purchased four weeks ago. It's crucial that I make clear both expectations and performance because ratings for these kinds of things appear to be based on both. Look and Feel: I've had a G-shock on for a long time. You'll enjoy the Garmin instinct if you like the way a G-shock looks. However, compared to the G-shock, this Instinct seems lighter and has a softer rubber strap. Thus, everything about this is positive. Functionality: There are a number of things I use this for that I hadn't intended on. One by one, that is. Running: Overall timing and pace/distance calculations. It's a wonderful working instinct. GPS should be restricted in the city where I live, but it isn't. Once I leave my building, which is a high rise surrounded by other high rises, it takes the GPS around 20 seconds to lock on. The distance measurements are consistent and within ~2% of what "MapMyRun" claims. Alarm: I set up recurring reminders and a morning alarm using the vibration alarm feature. The vibration is powerful enough to wake me up without waking up my wife, and it is simple to set. HR Monitor: What I do
